Mathex 2013

Mathex is a mathematical problem solving competition. This year's competition was held at Whangarei Boys' High School and is also part of a national wide problem solving event.  Our school entered two teams.  It was the first time we had entered the event.  Each team consisted of four competitors, including one runner.  There were around 45-50 teams vying for the prestigious 'Year 5/6 Northland Mathex Cup.'  Our team relished the mathematical challenges and represented the school with distinction and determination.  Special thanks to Mrs. Gunson for organising the team.  Mr. Werder represented the school as a marker.  Below are some example questions from the 2010 Mathex Competition.  Have a GO!!!
