Dutch lesson

Today we learned some phrases in Dutch: goedemorgen (good morning),  hallo (hello), goedenacht (good night), and dag (bye). We had lots of fun greeting each other in Dutch, and found that Dutch and English greetings are not very different. We also learned that you can start communicating with someone in a different language if you only know a few words in that language.
After practicing some basic greetings we looked at the Dutch names for shapes: cirkel, ovaal, vierkant, rechthoek, driehoek, vijfhoek, zeshoek, achthoek and ruit. We quickly saw that Dutch names for shapes show a pattern: -hoek means angle, and the word in front tells us how many angles the shape has. Driehoek means three angles, or three corners, and is called triangle in English.
Well done team :-))
