As part of our introduction into this term's concept of 'Pattern' each whanau was allocated an area of the courts to perform a march. The children had to march in an army format to the beat of a drum, while the song 'Sons of Gallipoli' was being played. At the end of the march, the 'Crosses of Remembrance' that had been laid at our ANZAC Day Liturgy, were up lifted by the whanau leaders. Each child had to also wear a poppy. Special thanks to Kauri Whanau for organising the event. Ka pai whanau!

I just loved the way your Whanau marched. It sounded and looked fantastic. You were amazing.
