Congratulations...

Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments through which Catholics pass in the process of their religious upbringing. According to Catholics, in this sacrament they receive the Holy Spirit and become adult members of the Catholic Church.

Last Saturday night, eight children from Room 14 received the sacrament of confirmation.  This is a wonderful achievement and one that they can be extremely proud of.  God bless to you all!

Ipad/Ipod Applications

Room 14 has a new ipad.  The children (and I) have been exploring suitable educational applications that we could use to assist in our learning.  Like the children, I too am learning how e-learning and e-devices can be used in the classroom environment.  Part of my learning was to visit other schools that use ipads/ipods in their classrooms.  I recently visited a classroom at Kamo Primary where the teacher just did that.  He was amazing and the children were so focussed!

We are just beginning our e-learning journey, some are experts already!!!  Below are some of the applications used at Kamo Primary - no doubt there are many more.  These apps will need to be viewed first and then down loaded if appropriate to suit the needs of your child.  The list will be added as new ones are discovered.  Children, please seek Mum or Dad's permission first.  ENJOY AND HAPPY E-LEARNING!!!
