Kauri whanu teachers organised the whole school immersion activity for this term's concept 'Turangawaewae, A Place to Stand.' On Friday, each whanau dressed in their colours and gathered on the school courts. The courts were covered with chalk the outline of the world. Each child identified and stood on the part of the world that they felt was their 'turangawaewae.' The children then paraded around the outside of the world - then it was the teacher's turn. Photos were taken by Mr. Hacker who was standing (at a secure position) to help record the event. The event was a huge success. Ka pai to mahi, Kauri whanau!!!
