Mr Bonetti's Adventure to Antarctica
Mr Bonetti is going to a ice cold place called Antarctica and he is going with 52 people. Some are scientists. They will be investigating climate change and its effect on the rest of the world. An interesting fact about Antarctica include: The sun comes out for 22 hours and they only get 2 hours sleep. His website is www.ourfarsouth.org. They are on a boat for 4 weeks. There is a machine on the boat that turns salt water into normal water. There are cooks on board to feed the crew. The boat is an ice strengthen boat. When in the water, Mr Bonetti needs to wear a dry suit - that means that he does not get totally wet. He will live at Scot Bay for four weeks. It does not snow in Antarctica because it has too much moisture in the air. There is another boat that crushes the ice so that the boats can get through. We pray that Mr Bonetti returns safely.
