Tin Cans

For the first few weeks of term three we learnt about 'zero waste.'  We learnt about ways we can care for our environment and promote sustainability.  At the end of the unit, we got to make a pencil holder from a recycled can and from some 'bits and pieces.'  Here are some images of our tin cans.  We had a messy yet creative afternoon. 

Bee Community

In term one, we studied the 'bee community.'  Mr Smith came to our school and spoke about his job as a bee keeper.  We got to taste some honey, make some candles and blow smoke outside. We learnt a lot about the jobs within the bee hive.  Here a just a few photos of that day.

Hokey Pokey

Last term our class was looking at 'change.'  One of our experiments was making hokey pokey.

Kia Ora.  We are currently studying about 'systems.'  Our main focus are the systems used on a dairy farm.
